Job Title: Solution Architect – Insurance Domain
Experience Required: 10 + Years

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with deep expertise in the Insurance domain and enterprise software development. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of technical leadership and industry knowledge to design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions. In this role, the Solution Architect will serve as a technology visionary by defining and maintaining the overall technology roadmap for projects, while ensuring that technical decisions are aligned with business strategies and objectives. As a system designer, the architect will be responsible for designing the complete system architecture, including application structure, data management, integration methods, and security frameworks, and selecting the most suitable platforms, tools, and frameworks to meet project requirements. The architect will also act as a decision maker, evaluating trade-offs such as performance versus cost or flexibility versus speed, and approving or rejecting design and implementation approaches to ensure the best outcomes. Additionally, the architect will bridge the gap between business and technology by translating complex business requirements into clear technical specifications and ensuring that the system designs meet business needs without introducing unnecessary complexity. Furthermore, the Solution Architect will take ownership of governance and standards by defining coding guidelines, architectural patterns, and best practices, while ensuring that development teams adhere to these standards to maintain consistency, quality, and efficiency across projects. The role demands a strong understanding of both the technical and business landscapes and the ability to deliver innovative, practical, and robust solutions.

Requirements

Technology Requirements

  • Programming & Frameworks:

    • Strong experience in .NET (preferably full-stack exposure).

    • Knowledge of Microservices architecture,  / .NET Core.

  • Integration & APIs:

    • Expertise in REST, SOAP, API Gateway, ESB (MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, or similar).

    • Hands-on experience with middleware and third-party system integrations.

  • Cloud & Infrastructure:

    • Experience in AWS / Azure / GCP cloud architecture.

    • Containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Databases & Data Management:

    • Strong in SQL databases (Oracle, MS SQL Server,).

    • Experience in data migration, ETL, reporting frameworks.

  • Security & Compliance:

    • Knowledge of OAuth2.0, JWT, SAML, data encryption, GDPR/IRDA compliance.

  • ERP & Domain:

    • Hands-on experience with Insurance ERP platforms (policy admin, claims, underwriting, finance modules).

    • Exposure to InsurTech, digital platforms, AI/ML use cases in insurance is a plus.



Key Responsibilities

 

1. Architecture & Design

  • Define system architecture (monolith, microservices, serverless, etc.).

  • Design integration between applications, APIs, databases, and services.

  • Plan scalability, availability, and performance strategies.

  • Ensure security architecture (authentication, authorization, encryption).

 

2. Technology Selection

  • Research, evaluate, and recommend tools, frameworks, and platforms.

  • Ensure technology stack aligns with company’s long-term strategy.

3. Requirement Analysis

  • Work with stakeholders, business analysts, and product owners to gather requirements.

  • Convert functional/non-functional requirements into architectural blueprints.

4. Development Support

  • Guide development teams in implementing architecture.

  • Resolve technical challenges and blockers.

  • Conduct design/code reviews.

5. Quality & Compliance

  • Define and enforce standards for code quality, testing, and deployment.

  • Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, HIPAA, or industry-specific standards.

  • Establish performance, scalability, and disaster recovery strategies.

6. Documentation

  • Prepare architectural diagrams, data flow diagrams, and technical documentation.

  • Maintain architecture decision records (ADR).

7. Collaboration & Leadership

  • Mentor developers, junior architects, and technical leads.

  • Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD and infrastructure as code.

  • Communicate architecture decisions clearly to executives and non-technical stakeholders.

8. Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor new technology trends and assess applicability.

  • Refactor architecture when business or technical requirements change.

  • Perform post-project reviews to identify architectural improvements.
